OMG I'm pissed they've been pushed back!

However, the pricing almost makes up for it!!! What's the pricing on the 4870X2 supposed to be?

even if Nvidia brings out a kick ass card that wipes out the 4800 series, ATi's pricing is sure to be a kick in the crotch for Nvidia. Anyone know if Nvidia's 55nm yields are good?

Can't wait to see how low the price drops for all cards

Hopefully by the time these are out DRI2 will have been implemented into Linux and ATi's Drivers. ET:QW + Compiz (and source games if the client is out by then) will be very nice on a set of these.

I guess the expected launch time frame disappoints me a little, but I guess I cant complain if these cards are what they are expected to be in terms of performance.

Way to go DAAMiT

lmao... why would you need a X48 if you are going Phenom?

But it will be via CUDA, something that no ATI card currently supports, and is the competitor to a similar (though more difficult and less successful) language used by ATI.

Very interesting read.

It is great to see the hardware pulling so far ahead of the software, I love it.

Heck a $150 card running most games at 1680 res with max quality and some AA / AF, thats just awesome!
