ATi may very well get my business again for my Alan Wake/quad core build. One of those X2's with a supplemental single GPU added later sounds about right. Still several months away from AM3 when we might have a true fight for CPU crown again, so a lot can still happen in both areas.

Makes me glad I've waited so long to ditch the 7600gt. I really hope the price/performace/watt ratio is as good as the hype. And to think, with Stanford releasing FAH for 2xxx and 3xxx cards I almost bought a 3870X2 today. Support for 4xxx cards is in the works, but man it took forever to get support over the original release for 1xxx cards.....

Over 400 shader processors! My 9600GT only has 64 ;_; I want to wait for benchmarks, but do you guys think I should sell my 9600GT early?

Just a few more months until retirement time for my X1900XT.

Not sure if I'll be going ATI or Nvidia this time around, but looking at some initial price charts, it'll probably be ATI.

Not go navy... Go Army and eat all the sand you want plus you can spend an entire year (or 15 months in my case) at the beach (water not included).
