The official suggested pricing to manufacturers is the following:

o GeForce GTX 280 - $649
o GeForce GTX 260 - $399


The embargo time for the GeForce GTX 280 and GeForce GTX 260 is on Monday, June 16th, at 6:00 a.m. PDT.
The GeForce GTX 280 will be available in quantity on Tuesday, June 17th, 2008. The GeForce GTX 260 will be available the following week on Thursday, June 26th, 2008.

i bet nvidia knows that there are enough people out there that will pay anything to have the "best" PC hardware. The price will drop significantly after like 2 months... on the 280 at least...

The price on the 260 is not bad at all, IF it is actually the performer that we have seen/been told....

lol I definitely wont be buying a 280 if that is correct. From what ive heard, it cant even max out crysis at high res.
