That's nothing..the cooling fan draws 1 amp, which is considerably higher than most computer fans....maybe that's a sign that this thing runs a ****-ton of CFM's at full blast?

I don't understand why both companies don't just make a contract with zalman and put the vf900cu on cards as the stock cooler. It works well and its much smaller than these huge dual slot coolers. I look forward to seeing actual benches of this card.

Edit: If the 384bit bus and more memory helped the 8800gtx/ultra keep kicking for so long why would they keep this 256bit and 512 ram though? Won't that restrict it at high res with aa+af? Not trying to knock it I just actually wanna know.

Manufacturing cost of the bigger 384bit bus and more memory would probably make it cost alot more than whats being used on the current cards. Take a look at the GTX 280 and 260 for example.

because sometimes bit bus is not as important architecture of the graphics card, like the 2900XT had a 512 bit bus but lost to the 8800GTX. and the AA and the AF problems had been fixed and the 4850 even beats the 9800GTX with AA and AF on

I cannot wait for this!!! Imagine If this thing had a 512bit bus None the less It is still uber, especially for the price. One thing I also hope for Is better power circuitry. Overclocking the 38xx series was a pain due to this fatal flaw. Still, can't wait
