Wow, well done ATi. I'm really impressed.
__________________Although I'm not sure if the 4870 will warrant replacing my 8800GT which runs everything I need at 1680x1050. Might wait for the 4870x2 for a proper jump in performance.

I'm just going to stick with my MSI 9600gt since I am still able to play Call of Duty 4 on 1440xwhatever, too early to think. I am going to wait until Saphhire makes the Toxic version of the 4850 or hopefully the 4870. My friend has their Toxic 3870 and that thing stays cool at 35-38c and stays under 50c when gaming.
Otherwise I'll buy the 4870 and have to stick aftermarket cooling on their since they showed the thermalright and accelero to bring it down to mid 30's and I think high 40's on load which destroy their stock idle of 60c and 80c load which is rediculous. |
