Default [hardspell] Secret high clock version RV770XTX is coming?

AMD HD4800 series did a good job and it is said that AMD is preparing new RV770XT high clock version to against GTX 280.


As its clock will be higher than HD 4870, so it possible comes with the water cooler. Of course the R700 will also come in this year later, so AMD havent sure to launch it or not. Or AMD will open the overclock permission for the manufactures

I guess they need something to fill the void between the HD4870 and the HD4870X2, but I'm not sure if a "HD4890" would be the thing to do it. I don't buy it coming with a water cooler though. That would cut off a significant number of sales because not that many people have w/c setups.

If this did happen, I'm willing to bet that a good amount of people will run it with the GPU block, and no watercooling.

They could do a cooler like the Cooler Master Hydra 8800. Doesn't look like that in the picture, but it would be pretty badass if they did.
