Does anyone else find it interesting that soon the ultimate gaming rig will consist of a mix of Intel and AMD parts (ie Nehalem + 4870X2/CFX)?

Not really. Considering Intel going to make it impossible to use SLI and Nehalem together.

Last I heard this was true but to be fair that was a few weeks ago. If Intel sticks to it's guns and refuses to offer technical data to Nvidia for development of motherboard chipets, the future will be interesting indeed.

Can't wait until my rig looks like that!!! Well, except a 4870 instead of the 4850.

Has it been confirmed that X58 will use ICH10R?
