Correct me if Im wrong but theoretically with such a low bus speed, you could really push this thing hard with todays MB capabilities right, or is it just so completely different there is no way of knowing how it will OC?

No way of knowing. these are going to be entirely new mobos from intel with new BIOSes, New OCing strategies, etc. And the processors work much, much different now too

With these new chips from intel, their Northbridge has essentially been eliminated, much like how AMD has been doing it for a while now.

The 'bus speed' is an on-chip reference clock, just like on AMD. The actual 'bus speed' is the QPI. God knows why CPU-Z refers to it as the bus speed, it even does this on AMD processors.

I still don't get why everyone is so confused about this. I mean, I certainly can't imagine all of you were peckering on with your PresHots back when AMD was king. This should be old news! Ye olde 2003-05 tweaking come back to life!

It's not an unheard of amount of memory at all. Many servers have a max of 128GB or more. I've used a server in our Math department that had 64GB of memory installed.

I, for one, welcome this new upper-bound, except that it means I will no longer have the maximum possible amount of memory for a desktop.

(Aside from the fact that G.Skill released a 4GB DDR2 stick, which could let you have 16GB. They cost about 3x as much as 2x2GB, so 16GB would be liek $1200... )

Ya know, I have never owned an AMD chip. Even when they were king. Its not that I am an intel Fanboy, I just happen to always get one.

Overclocking this new architecture should be easy for me then since I've never owned an Intel chip. I've only dealt with AMD overclocking (not that it's necessarily a good thing though right now).

The voltage is what I was looking at too. 0.864 is awesome if that's really what it is.
