Actually, its nVidia that just stacks PCBs, ATI puts them all on one PCB.

That isn't an ATi setup, that's 3DFX.

EDIT: Looked up Quantum3d, nevermind.

How much should the price of a 4870 drop if any? If it drops a decent amount I may just end up buying one, but if they don't drop enough I just might get a 4870x2 if I have the money. I wouldn't plan on upgrading my GPU for quite some time if I was to buy a 4870x2, so how long do you guys think this thing will be able to max games at 1680x1050?

Who knows lol

But i dont mind if ATI keep pushing it back.

Rather release a Product that is good rather then rushing it and making it crap.

It will be cool when these cards start coming in to work. Already built a few gaming rigs with HD4850's and HD4870's. I really should bench some computers at work one day maybe.

Its great ATi has come back with some truely compeditive cards this generation.

You get the idea.
Passive cooling? Schweet.
Affordable reality? Schweet.

But ATI doesn't use multiple PCB's
