I can do the same thing actually. There's a few games that are causing my card to slip up, but by and large I can max or nearly max every game I really enjoy.

They all need to drop another $50 if they want to be seriously competitive with price/performance. 9800GTX+ is inferior to the 4850, and the GTX 260 to the 4870, so they should be priced lower.

I think Nvidia knows they will be hurting alot if they dont drop prices...they have dropped them really quickly which is an indication that they know they have to as for now they dont really have a counter against the 4870X2

Nvidia can't afford to drop prices much more, not with 40% yields.

They are crushing their partners with this move. I don't know what their strategy could possibly be at this time. Heads might roll over the coming year though. Their CEO is about to become a house hold name. Ruiz can take a reprieve from the hot seat...for now.

In the legitreviews, the 9800GTX+ outperformed HD4850 in 5 out of the 7 games tested.

Anandtech and Bit-Tech both show the HD4850 with the lead most of the time, especially with AA turned on.

No

My 8800GTX performs similar, if not better then the 9800GTX+. At my resolution (1600x1050) - the 9800GTX+ performs about 1-2 FPS higher according to benchmarks.
