Really ?!

9800GTX+ was better in
Crysis
Assassin's Creed
The Witcher
oblivion

HD4850 won in
COD4
Enemy Territory: Quake Wars
BioShock

So, 9800GTX+ was better in 4 out of 7 in anandtech

And please can you post the link for the review from Bit-Tech because I'm didn't find it !

So far all the reviews that was posted here show that 9800GTX+ is better than HD4850 most of the time

Man the 9800GTX+ is pretty cheap. I paid more for my card than the 9800GTX+. Because I bought it when it came out.

dude that's really good, i can see amd droppin 20 more bucks on this! either way, big deal litterally, a nice competition now; i dont think that the gtx 280 is overpriced anymore in its segment of competition (although i still think over 300 is not a card for me >_< )

Nice, but I'd take the 4850 for $150 after MIR any day (oh wait that's right, 2 of mine are arriving today )

For that price point the GTX280 finally looks like a decent deal. If the 4870x2 goes for $550 like some are predicting, then I'll have to stick with the GTX280 for this round. But if the 4870x2 manages to go for no more then $520 then I'll definitely be picking one up as soon as they are released. Decisions Decisions.

I think AA was turned on in The Witcher and oblivion

Moreover, turning AA on in demanding game like Crysis would produce unplayable fps. So, there is not point in turning AA in Crysis

This is great. I'm an admitted Nvidia fanboy but watching ATI sucker punch Nvidia like they have been is all kinds of amusing. This price war has me giddy with excitement. I have been holding off on buying the GTX 280 because of this. Now I am considering it. I am not going to go for a CrossfireX board so the GTX 280 has always been in my sights. I require Crysis at 1920x1200 so I am going to get the card that delivers that to me. So far it seems to have been the GTX 280, but definitely not at the price they were previously asking. Now that the price is coming down I am considering it.

I didn't even know the 9800GTX+ was out yet? I don't see it for sale anywhere?

The 8800GT and the 9800GTX+ are a great deal. So is the GTX260, HD4850 and HD4870. However, the 4870 seems to do quite a bit better than the GTX260 at the same price. So I guess it all comes down to the specific resolution you use, the games you play, and how their overclock for someone looking at the 4870 and the GTX260.

I don't understand who in their right mind would buy a GTX280.

I hear everyone saying that ATI drivers are better than Nvidia drivers. Nvidia drivers are and have been a nightmare for me for years. Is this true that ATI drivers are good?
