That's the same way I'm looking at it... Is that even legal? Could Nvidia's actions be construed as false advertisement? I mean if you think about it (FX < 6 < 7 < 8 = 9) There has been a historical pattern where the new series of cards is better than the last. Could re-branding possibly be considered false advertisement given prior established naming convention(IE higher series = new card + better performance)?

IN a related story, OCN picks up Charlie Demerjian as lead attorney and starts a class action lawsuit against nvidia!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but any G92 chip can be SLI'ed with any other G92. So you could even SLI a 8800GTS 512 with a 9800GT if you wanted to.

Wow, now on top of the four 8800gt's that i've owned, i've also owned four 9800GT's!!! It's not like everyone wasn't complaining that they didn't call it a 9800GT before though.

I wonder if that means you could flash an 8800GT and sell it as a 9800GT to get a few extra bucks from some noob on ebay.
