So.....not really sure why they're renaming it other than marketing? Is that it?

Does anyone know if I can change the ID of the 3850 into a 4850?

Yea you can make your BIOS say your GPU is a RV1337 if you want, but it won't really affect anything (other than what atiflash reads and GPU-Z)

And in more turn of events, Nvidia has remarked all GTX280s to GTX380s in an attempt to trick would-be AMD buyers to buy their "new generation" card!

Man.... Nvidia's can of whoop @ss is really whooping their own @ss!

DON'T! you'll only pour disgrace on your lovely 8800.
Have there even been any new cards that can outperform the o'l 8800GTX/ULTRA. IT'S ALMOST 2 YEARS OLD NOW DAMNIT!..
Even GTX280 isn't enough of a performance jump to upgrade too...

Alright Nvidia...

This is just shameless. They will accomplish a couple things though: alienating people who know what they're up to or taking advantage of people that have no idea. Nice.
