I remember trying to find out a year ago if Newegg would ever come to Canada. I was disappointed when I heard they didn't have plans to expand. But, now this is exactly what I would like to happen. Give Direct Canada/NCIX some trouble.

I just hope they don't do like Tiger and rip us off because our currency is supposedly weak. We've been screwed with by every possible business with the dollars on parity thing, hope that doesn't happen to Newegg.
It's cool to have them though. Finally NCIX and DirectCanada will be getting some serious competition.

This is alright I suppose. Newegg has a great selection but they need to match the following or I won't even look at them:
__________________Price - They have to keep prices in line with NCIX and other major Canadian e-tailers. Shipping has to be as cheap and most importantly they have to cut out PST. Selection - If they dog Canadians and not give us pretty much the same selection as the States, then what's the point? Shipping - If I have to deal with border fees because they don't have any warehouses set up in Canada, they can go to hell.

100% agree. price better be no more than the US equivalent converted to CAD. selection better be, if not the same, as close as possible...i want deals, not the US's throwup. if they ship from the US, im not even going to bother...it would turn out to be just a marketing scam because all they would have added was the ability for us to create a purchase invoice from Canada...they MUST have Canadian warehouses. then, and ONLY then, will they become a potential vendor on my list.

i wonder how much they'll jack up the prices
![]() maybe i won't be a direct canada exclusive customer anymore amazon.ca is SO TERRIBLE less selection, and 30-40% price markup's from the .com.,.... dell.ca is terrible as well, less selection of parts and higher prices
