LOL. That's great.

I'm not an Apple hater either. I love my new iPhone 3G!

But if you could build Cell Phones, I sure would try...

Funny thing is, They are exactly right, look at this almost double! and the HP in terms of hardware is better. The HP screen has much better resolution and im sure the 9600M GT is much better then the 8600M GT. So the HP is much better and half the price! But the HP is .43 pounds heavier! So there is no way you can call this HP laptop "low -mid end" that means this HP is high end!

Honest question or sarcastic question?

Cause its minimal, at best...really. You are paying for the OS development and niche...its not physically that much more expensive.

it was honest, I'm figuring it's almost nothing also. I just don't know.

I'll admit to wondering what the price hub bub is all about, but no matter how much I try I can't hate them, the OS just makes me feel so happy. The dashboard, the functionality, I hate it for the expense, but I love how it works.

HARD DRIVE 500GB - Seagate 7200RPM, SATA 3.0Gb/s, 16MB Cache
SECOND HARD DRIVE 500GB - Seagate 7200RPM, SATA 3.0Gb/s, 16MB Cache

Compare OEM's to Mac, nothing competes with building it yourself....

Lets do a full comparison then, I'll try to make everything as equal as possible, but if I can't then the better one will be in bold:

Dell Studio Hybrid vs Mac Mini
2.00GHz C2D vs 2.00GHz C2D
2GB DDR2 667
160GB SATA HDD vs 160GB SATA HDD
5.1 Channel Audio vs ? (Probably stereo?)
GMA X3100 vs GMA 950
8X Slot Loading Combo Drive vs. 8X Slot Loading Combo Drive
Wireless 802.11n vs 802.11g
8-in-1 Card reader vs Firewire?
2.0 Channel Speakers vs. Built in speaker (mono?)
7 Distinct Colors vs. Apple White
$739 vs $1097

HP Touch Smart 22" vs iMac
2.16GHz C2D vs 2.4GHz C2D

$1551.99 vs $1699 Closer but I mean, TOUCHSCREEN!

iMac 24"

2.8Ghz
2GB 800MHZ DDR2
500GB HD
8800GS
$1,999

Well, how about that?

Also, the Mac PRO is a workstation, compare it to a workstation with 2 processors. IT doesnt care if you can custom build a computer; they dont use custom builds in IT usually (99.999% they do not). Therefore, you have to base your price off of the workstations Dell and HP provide.

Ill let you redo your last comparison.

Still my favorite mac vs PC pic:

As for a $500 PC, you can build a decent one, but the store bought ones need some help (usually have onboard video, 1 gig RAM, sometimes 2, smaller HDD (~ 80-160 gig, usually still IDE), and generic quality stuff in most cases). Where the bundled PC's value is when you get a 19" monitor and printer included, it is what most people need.
