Default [Intel]World's Smallest CPU,Intel Atom

OH GAWD!!!!!

Intel's Atom processor also has Centrino Atom,for laptops.
This processor is the smallest CPU so far in the planet,clocked between 800-1800 MHZ.It has a single core,not dual or quad as some people thought.

It's as small as a penny.WOW

Atom Processors Are Codenamed Silverthorne,And Centrino Atom processors are called Diamondville.

http://www.intel.com/technology/atom/index.htm

These Processors only has 45nm support,not 65 or else.47million transistors are used on this CPU.

Thanks for reading!!

Yeah... it's a Centrino Atom.

What would have been better is if they placed it next to the chipset.... *sigh* Intel really really really needs a better chipset for these.

I saw on an DL.TV podcast, Loyd Case of ExtremeTech came out with an Atom PC motherboard, and he pointed out the CPU on it. They come built into the board and they use passive cooling or something. No monster chunks of metal with ear piercing fans.

I guess you didn't notice the Northbridge next to it.

Atom = 3w
945 = 21w
