The PicoPSU is by itself is 80-90% efficient. However, you have to include in the efficiency of the AC-DC brick. The PicoPSU + Brick is around 78-81%.

Atom and Nano are both expected to have dual core versions in the next few months.

this would be a pretty sweet deal for a home-made nas box....

the HP ex470 uses a AM2 mini board with a 3400 sempron so why not..?

I have really been looking into a cheap NAS box so I may just build my own....lol

The 780G has UVD doesn't it?

The 1GHz K8 isn't fast enough to feed the data.

My understanding is that it wasn't fast enough to decrypt the Blu-Ray, nothing to do with playing actual video.

"In spite of the hardware acceleration of the on-board ATI Radeon HD 3200, Blu-ray playback is far from possible. Almost 100% decoding is done by the graphics chip, but the video stream coming from the Blu-ray disk has to be decrypted. Here the Athlon 64 2000+ is in way over its head—it is not possible to use it as a Blu-ray player."

Hmmmm.... that's HDCP decryption?

In the DVD playback test, isn't the codec hardware accelerated as well? If so, 68% CPU utilization is a lot.
