If they came preinstalled with linux theyd be cheaper.. and I'd maybe get one

If it's $400 or less, it'd beat a lot of it's competition for what you get.

Generally speaking, these things need to be a lot cheaper. Whatever happened to the $200 laptop? Even $300 would be reasonable for this category of laptop (or whatever they try to call them now) depending on it's specs. It's all currently overpriced.
