Default Faster. Deeper. Harder. Further. (not what you think it is...)

Acer has the product page up for the Aspire Predator and I'd really like to meet the guy who wrote the marketing...

http://www.linustechtips.com/dumb-st...harder-further

Blogging is easy... This stuff practically writes itself.

edit: uh oh. I did search the news section and saw some info on this machine, but nothing about the official product page being up on www.acer.com/predator. I appear to have posted it wrong.

rather than ruffle any feathers, could I just get a mod to remove it??

'Faster. Deeper. Harder. Further.'

Is this in any way linked to what the company would be doing to you (and how) if you actually forked out for one of these?

I really hate these companies who try to make ridiculous computers for idiots.
It looks terrible. 8gb of RAM. OMG TEH RAMZ IS B1G!!1!. Con artists.

surely no-one buys these things?
They wouldnt in an ideal world.
Dont get me started on alienware.

Actually I did a cost analysis of the machines, and it's pretty close to what we would sell the parts for.

I have to admit though, the configurations look a little bit weird in some ways... The RAM and hard drives in particular are a little odd (the higher end one comes with 3 drives....) and who really uses a DVD-ROM these days?

But seriously, boutique builders do good business, and at least Acer isn't trying to charge $4000 for the basic configuration like many of them do.

I support what they're doing, I just think someone should have proof-read that tag line
