i believe this utility is used to reconfigure the way certain programs use cores... for example some programs heavily favor one core. All this program seems to do is boost dual core usage on both cores instead of slaving one core to 100% usuage.

WoW is definitely one of those programs, even after the change some months back. At peak usage I'm seeing about 90% on Core 0 and 30-45% on core 1.

Edit: That is, before I installed dual core optimizer last night. I don't play much WoW anymore but I'll test it out.

If only that was true for GPU folding on XP.
