Default [VRZone] Lian-Li Releases Power Supply Line

Quote:
High-grade PC chassis manufacturer Lian Li has now announced the Maxima Force series of gaming systems-targeting power supply units. The three PSU models unveiled today offer 470, 650 and 750W of continuous power, are compliant with the ATX 12V V2.3 & EPS 12V standards and feature an efficiency of over 80% which has secured them the 80 Plus certification.

Coming with an always secsi black coating, the new PSUs can deliver up to 100W more than their declared power output for one hour, make use of Japanese capacitor components and are cooled off by 120mm ball-bearing fans. The 470W model features two 12V rails (18A each), the 650W one has three (19A) while the 750W unit can brag with having four 12V rails (18A). The non-modular PSUs also have sleeved cables and a MTBF (mean time before failure) of over 100,000 hours.

Lian Li's Maxima Force should already be shipping and reaching the stores at VAT-less prices of around $104 (470W), $144 (650W) and $177 (750W).

Source

A bit overpriced I think.

Well it is Lian-Li their stuff does usually run over priced but who knows if they can bring half of the quality that they have in cases to PSUs then it will be a nice PSU.

We might just be spoiled by Corsair's very aggressive pricing, but they do seem a bit high, and Lian-Li should have got the lower-end unit up over 500w. I'll want to see these things go through the wringer as well.

Ok, Lian-Li cases are not overpriced. The only overpriced Li-Li cse would be the P80 Spider Edition at $600.

So who is actually making them?
And why do people put a link of a link instead of the actual source?

holy crap, $104 for a 470W? I'll stick with my $40 500W, I know Lian-Li is quality, but you can find good power supplies for a LOT cheaper

I looove my Lian-Li case, but $104 dollars for a 470 Watt power supply seems a bit ridiculous.

V2000 is like $400 meanwhile the Rocketfish (Also made by Lian Li) is only $50 and a stripped down version, yet slightly bigger. Their cases are slightly over priced but their cases are amazing.
