When people want to play games, they don't think of computers. They think of consoles. Why? Because....

With a console - you just go to the store, pay the money, take the console home, and basically plug n play.

With a PC - (from a regular ol' joe's perspective) go online to Dell.com or go to Best Buy, pay butt loads of money for hardware and software that he doesn't even know how to work, gets it in the mail/brings it home, plugs it in, goes through crap loads of bloat-ware, takes 30 minutes to setup the OS, has to figure out how to install the game, when he finally figures out how to install the game - ends up his drivers or w/e are too outdated, has to download more junk and update, and then finally turns on the game to find out that his system is waaay too slow to run it and has to go pay butt loads more money to Dell or Best buy or w/e for upgrades or a new PC. Its more of a HASSLE or a CHORE then actually having fun. If he happens to have made a right choice and his new Dell XPS $10k computer works fine, then well - he can pat himself on the back because now he has to work his ass off for the next couple of weeks in order to pay off his credit card bill.

For us enthusiasts - we know for a fact PC gaming is ALWAYS best and comes out above 99% of the time in almost all aspects. Its simple and easy for us - but its not simple for the regular john doe who has no way of finding his way out of a box when it comes to computers.

Fair enough, I was a bit irritated from the other conversation and probably went off a little quickly there.

But just to be clear, there is no legal way to make and play a game backup on the X360, or any console for that matter, at least in the US. Whatever legal rights provided by copyright law for making backups are unfortunately rendered useless by the DMCA. For most of this administration the DMCA has been upheld at almost every turn in the courts. Time for a change in administration, if you ask me.
