I call shenanigans. I ran these 4670's crossfired with both 3dmark06 and vantage and look what I got.
And as for real-world gaming, going up against my 8800gt, Prey and bioshock did worse with the 4670's crossfired. Half Life2 ep 2 did on par or slightly better. Also, you have to remember, these cards don't require a 6-pin PSU connector to give them extra juice. They run right off the power that comes from the pci-e slot. ![]()

Crossfire isn't supported in many games, just a few unless you use the .exe trick.
__________________That being said, I was willing to beat two HD4670's would out run a HD3870 or at least match it. As for buying the single HD4850 512mb over (2) HD4850's, well - Palit HD4850 has a Zero Thermal Cooler on it, takes up 2 slots - $169 on the Egg Press Release confirmed $79USD price tag for the HD4670 512mb. You would save what $9 not much, but you gain in not needed a bigger PSU than you already have. I have a 500W Earthwatts Antec. AMD suggest 550w CF with these cards. All off the bus, that's not bad. With a 3 Core Phenom, 790GX, and (2) HD4670's that doesn't seem like a bad Multi Media PC to me, does it all and quite well, not dominate but runs on moderate hardware and wouldn't be super expensive to build, in fact that's what I plan on doing. This card is still ideal for basic Dell and HP system whichs both companies sell by the thousands. In fact, when I get my card. I'll throw it in my mom's Dell 530i (Core 2 1.8Ghz, 2GB Dual Channel 800Hz) that is by far the typical system this card would be installed in. And see how it does...

Yeah, I'm willing to bet these cards will be made in mass numbers and will be put in mainstream OEM computers and basic gaming systems. The regular system builder will not use them, but the OEM's will. IMO, they are perfect for that. Windows Experience gaming rating gets a 5.7 with a single card.

1x 4870 = $320
2x 4670 = $160 but yeah, i'd rather have a 4870 and still beat two of the 4670's.

I can say for sure that they are not. I played Prey at 1920x1200 and these two cards choked up pretty bad. My single 8800gt did better.
