Glad to see that Crossfire is maturing nicely. It would be interesting to see who would buy two instead of a 4850, but it shows consumers who buy the lower end cards then want to scale up later, do indeed have an excellent path that will scale into the next rung. Well done ATi.

price as per incomming inventory for TigerDirect shows it should retail for 89.99 from saphire
thats not bad cost to grab 2 of them for crossfire, but would want to weigh the option, power consumption for 2 vs 1 4850, and of course cooling, wich one runs cooler with stock cooling.

Ok, I did some crysis testing with the demo. at 1360x1024 High settings, I would get 22fps minimum, and 35fps max, and the average was 26fps. There was also some rendering problems where apparently the frames weren't syncing up right and there was tearing in the sky and some textures would flicker.
