I can't wait to see what AMD has in store. Is Deneb hitting this year? I know Shanghai is but that doesn't really do anything for me.

Not to mention that according to most reports, the AMDs will be cheaper. If nothing else, it will force Intel to act accordingly, and lower their prices to stay competitive.

Hopefully thats what we'll see, I'd love to see AMD come out with a competitive product, more choice for us!

Honestly if AMD brought out such a chip and got back ontop I'd jump ship. I'l buy w/e performs better I'm not wasting money on second rate hw due to being a fanboy.. Which is prolly most people's take on things around here.

If AMD can beat Intel on the performance per dollar ratio, I'm all about it...

I don't care what cpu is in my computer, as long as i get the most bang for the buck.

From years of experience in the retail, and consumer markets of computer hardware, AMD boards (Budget motherboards mostly) seem to lack the long term stability that Intel motherboards have been able to maintain.

Don't get me wrong, i am running a DFI Expert (AMD 939) motherboard right this second as my Intel rig is down due to a ram issue, and i am going to have a hard time parting with this amd rig if i ever have to. Been nothing but rock solid for a long time. Granted, you have to know whats what in these DFI bios' to actually achieve the stability, with constant tweaks being routine...

I don't care what run sin my computer as long as it works reliably. AMD, Intel i don't really care. Like the article states, it will be up to the motherboard manufactures to determine if this new chip will be worth the jump.

I want to see pics and proof. I have waited far too long for AMD to make a comeback to have my hopes and dreams crushed on the basis of speculation.

So factoring in the bit of exaggeration we get in all claims of this nature...

Deneb would be on pair with Intel's Penryn offerings at the moment? Except probably more expensive since it would be a new product.

Just a warning here. Not a flame. Just an unbiased comparison.

Hope this is true. Then AMD can go back to being better than intel at gaming
