Well, it's been confirmed that the Core i7 920 is only $284, I don't know what the American prices for the mobos will be, but probably much lower.

that's what I'm saying the prices aren't like holy crap 1200 dollars for a crappy board and CPU it's actually pretty comparable to today

If shangai and debeb´s by amd bring better prices and the performance they promised,this is definitely not worth it,that´s way too overpriced,of course i wasn´t getting one anyway but if i wanted to build a new intel rig i wouldn´t buy one of these cpu´s at all,overpriced and unnecessary these days.

I pretty sure that newegg pricing would be much better

Q6600 officially cost $193.99, but newegg is selling it for $189.99 and the OEM version is even cheaper
