Yeah.
Architectural difference. Similar to this : Under load AMD voltages increase, Intel decreases. Additionally in the past i have noticed a trend of AMD's chips taking far more voltage before kicking the bucket. Which is probably because AMD builds them more rigid for the voltage to increase during load.

Yeah.
Err.. it was 6Ghz for 1.9v, the Phenom II hit 5Ghz at 1.6v, same as the Intel.

prolly yes

Well today AMD had some actual demonstrations at their gathering, and the Phenom II was able to hit 5 GHz at 1.6v by using dry ice cooling.

Yeah.
i noticed and i agree 1.9 volts is a silly suicide run that means absolultely nothing to the people who buy this processor and throw it on air or under water. is there any news on what it does under a nice air cooler while staying under safe voltage? depending on how it runs and pricing i might jump to AMD for the next build. dry ice suicide runs are cute but not practical.

Yeah.
ya, you're the only one.

The deneb looks great. Hope someone can bench it against other processors to see how it performs.

Which part is pathetic? The overclocking to 6Ghz or them doing it on a board that costs $140?
