Default [tweaktown]GIGABYTEs first AM3 motherboard spotted

SOURCE

Quote:
The GA-MA790FXT-UD5P is also one of GIGABYTEs first AMD motherboards that is built around their Ultra Durable 3 construction.

Features wise, this board carries two PCI-E x16 slots, four DDR3-1600+ memory slots, 10 SATA-II ports (six from the SB750 Southbridge and another four provided by an additional controller), two Gigabit ports, two eSATA connectors, 7.1 channel audio, FireWire and GIGABYTE's own DualBIOS setup.

It's expected the board will be launched somewhere near the end of Q1 and will likely be accompanied by two other slightly cut-down boards to kick off their AM3 lineup; the GA-MA770T-UD3P and the GA-MA790X-UD4P.

It seems like, for the first time ever, Gigabyte has done the design very well.

I wouldn't say that just yet...I mean, the SATA ports are out of the way now, but what about the CPU placement? It's still very close to the ram. Coolers that can't rotate 90 degrees are going to block the first 2 slots if you the ram is tall/cooler is low

The argyle is sexy though!

Actually I meant the board looks, not the construction. But yeah, that cpu placement is really strange, but it seems like some amd boards are using it a lot.

I have been saying for a while how I'd like a Ultra Durable 3 790FX board to be released...

Well here it is, and it lives up to my expectations completely.

Guess Gigabyte has finally ditched the multicolored weird looking boards. That one actually looks decent. I prefer black PCB though.
