Xeon versions are usually stronger physically to handle 24/7 stressful tasks themselves being pushed to their very limit and can survive much higher temperatures.

usually you find them in servers though since they work themselves 24/7

so they're a yorky with better silicon ?

edit: a quick google tells me that xeon's are essentially the same chip, just capable of better overclocks as they're a little more robust, too.

processorfinder tells me:

1333 MHz
8.5
12 MB
2.83 GHz
LGA775
45 nm
E0
1067Ah
95W
71.4°C
1.212V - vid voltage range.

so in a nutshell, it's a yorky with a guaranteed vid below 1.212 ?

Sounds like it, won't be surprised these make 4.0GHz no problem.

Are they worth $300 when a Q9650 runs cooler and OC's higher.
