contracts like this are usually written so that one party can't just cancel because they want to. IMHO this is just some FUD.

Intel? Nvidia should start producing X86. The more options the better. I think that both these companies getting a bit annoying with who's e-peen is bigger & better.

Problem is it isn't just nvidia trying to cancel out, intel sued THEM, so nvidia has counter sued. So in this case the contract may become void depending on the outcome.

I have yet to come up with any viable explanation as to why intel is shooting themselves in the foot with these nvidia and the AMD cross-license suits.

Problem with that is Intel owns the rights to the x86 architecture, so no one is making x86 without going through Intel.
