I get the feeling that the fan will be louder than the fan on this 4850 when playing TF2.

Very nice.

This should be a very competent board, I expect it will have some variation of the 4-series integrated which could make it a decently competent performer.

I wonder what like the max GPU they could integrate into a board would be. I know they never do because these are low-end solutions. But I wonder if they could get a 4670 on there without needing more power connectors?

Not liking that molex power connection - I wonder if that's more a requirement, or a precaution? At the very least I'd like to see that connector moved to a better location.

i really want these to come out sooner. the SB800s are supposed to have SATA III capabilities, so that will be a nice combo for later on when there are SATA III HDDs and cords.

Yea... I'd be happy with a mobo with something like 120 SPs for a HTPC build. No additional power connectors might be doable with 40nm once the process gets more mature and we see some really energy efficient parts.

Not that it would have much impact on OCing, but IIRC, SB800 should also get native ethernet capabilities so that should mean easier and simpler mobo layout (which may or may not equal slightly cheaper mobos).

That is an 890FX and it is super small. I wonder how much better the boards can be designed by the big motherboard companies.

Good thing you'll probably never see this board on the market

It's an engineering board
