Yup.
Can't wait to see this and the dual-core VIA Nano duke it out.

Yup, and it's a real shame because Ion has far more GPU power.

It also costs twice as much...

Plus once the GL40 based netbooks become mainstream Intel will have a MASSIVE edge graphics wise. Its not as powerful as the ION, but the only company that is worse at graphics than Intel is VIA.

I'd argue that its the opposite, but whatever.

Pretty much, and since all signs point to this new package being incapable of decoding 1080p video or offering any sort of game performance, this is a step back if anything.

I really hope the LRB project, makes Intel start to take integrated graphics seriously. They'll finally have a gaming grade chip to work from, so there's some hope there but I'm still a little cautious as to whether we'll see any change in philosiphy.

Intel's integrated graphics are the one thing holding PC hardware back more than anything. Any bog standard PC bought today is plenty capable in all areas except graphics, if Intel could only get upto the standards of ATI and Nvidia's integrated chipsets every PC sold would be a very capable gaming machine, on par with the current gen. consoles within a year or two.
