While its nice in enterprise use that the cpu voltages would be pretty stable. But judging from its format and color, its prolly being positioned as a budget gamer board with good OC capabilities.

Edit:
Keep in mind the memory controller chip is on die now, those power phases might serve to also take care of that as well. If it would translate into better OC for RAM, well who is to say.

While its definately an adoption bait, but it is definately an impressive piece of hardware. I frankly excited to see how the i5 performs, compared to the i7. And these kinds of hardware should make for an interesting showdown on the price to performance ratio race.

Haha.
Why would that not be like Tweak to get a number wrong? Have you seen the "review" they did on CrossFire on a P45 vs an X48? ****ing horrible. Can't believe it even got published.

Back on topic, that board does look...interesting.

Looks like a heavy duty board. It is also nice to see so many new features on this board. Eg. Power eSATA / SATA 3. So all that we need now is the release of USB3 to add to the next batch of boards or whenever it comes out.

BTW what are the plugs just above the Power eSATA and that little bugger at the top across from the firewire called ?

yeah it is

in any case, this board will be mine at some point in the future

edit: this solves the speculation on the intel reference P55 which had the ONFI slot which no one had a clue about.

Maybe Gigabyte thought there was too much extra space on the board and decided to throw in some more VRMs for the marketing.
