While its nice in enterprise use that the cpu voltages would be pretty stable. But judging from its format and color, its prolly being positioned as a budget gamer board with good OC capabilities.

Edit:
Keep in mind the memory controller chip is on die now, those power phases might serve to also take care of that as well. If it would translate into better OC for RAM, well who is to say.
I for one welcome those VRMs if they are going to ram stability.

BTW what are the plugs just above the Power eSATA and that little bugger at the top across from the firewire called ?
It's another firewire port. I have one of those on my laptop, with "1394" right next to it.

I want to know what those two middle yellow ports are... they look like USB, but why are they yellow?

EDIT: I misread your question... you're wondering the same thing I am. But yea, the top-right-most yellow plug is a small 1394 plug.

"Users will initially be able to buy the ONFI flash memory cards from Intel (and later probably sold by other memory companies) and it will act as a speed boost to the system by using fast NAND flash memory. Users should even be able to detect the ONFI slot as a new hardware and install their main operating system on it. It will also work similar to ReadyBoost in Windows Vista, but should provide a much faster boost in performance. Keep in mind this feature will not be supported by the P55 chipset"

I like the sound of that.

I thought the yellows were eSATA and Power-eSATA.

remember guys those pix and specs are from the P57 not P55 so the P55 will have less features then the P57 mainly the flash slot and who knows if they will actully inc all those power phasers in the P55 boards. I like the sound of power Esata sockets though.

Holy mother of sweet jebus!

24 Phase?

I am not sure if it is only me, but doesn't having more phases automatically give you more e-peen? My old X48-DS4 had 12 Phases [Shame it overclocked like :turd:] and my new Maximus only has 8+2 [RAM Included] = circumcision?

What's the northbridge heatsink for if the P55's have no NB?
