Me leik. Asus doesn't have to pay Google for Android does it? I would much rather have either no OS or some random linux distro than have to pay for an OS i don't want - whether it be windows or otherwise.
Really like the look of this though. Interesting a chip capable of encoding and decoding 720p doesn't even require a heatsink o_O

It's a damn good thing to see more competition, especially coming from a name as huge as Google. Netbooks are coming into their own, and are taking a bigger and bigger piece of the small computing market. More competition means more r&d from the other companies, and it gives us an idea of what Google can do.

Ya google has some good stuff coming, it's not just google. It's also the chip inside this Eee pc that is crazy. Google Qualcomm's Snapdragon CPU and read about it. pretty interesting. It is a 1GHz or more CPU that can handle a decent load and requires no heat sink, doesn't get very hot, and uses an extremely low power consumption. there next chip will be almost 2 Ghz and do the same thing. Here comes some good competition for Intel's Atom processor.. I've said this many times with NVidia and ATI, more competition means better prices for us, and I'm all for that
