Looks good, but Android looks rather odd on larger devices, definitely less streamlined and not as clean as on a G1 for example.

i thought they vowed to make better products than apple. that thing def. doesn't have the build quality of a MB/MBP/MBA

So true... but more competition = better right? It could do pretty well if it is priced very competitively and has good software support.

It's more about how light, and cheap it is.. Apple does NOT have a SINGLE netbook. and there stuff is all very expensive. that thing will be dirt cheap to make and sell. a netbook is not meant to be like a laptop, it's a slim, lightweight, on the go, on the airplane type of thing.. a new Macbook 17" would not be the easiest thing to use on the bus.. right

I'm just happy to see more things coming, I love my G1 it's an amazing phone, and as long as more things keep coming from google, they have good things to come. the G2 isn't that great because it's more like an iphone, and no keyboard, but the G3 looks cool

I'm liking it alot. Specs sound great especially for simple internet browsing andhd playback. I always hated the keyboard layout for notebooks, let alone netbooks so i would never consider one for spreadsheet/word documents etc. Exactly what other OS's are able to run on ARM CPU's though?

ya I just thought it was interesting and thought I'd post it.

apparently Intel has looking into Android based netbooks as well.. android, and Larrabee would make a small, strong netbook

well i don't think one would consider a 17" laptop when thinking about portability, they do have 13" laptops, and the air is extremely portable.

when they said they would make better products than apple, they said nothing about price or some excuse. apple sells **** at high prices because they can, and it keeps their image as high end for the general uneducated public, not solely because the build materials (although labor pays a bigger factor at a top notch company like apple), so i see no reason for asus to not make a netbook with good build quality
