Your ruler is very mis-informed then, because the 4870 is only 9.5 inches. And the 4870 X2 is 10 1/2 in.

nope....

All 3 cards measured are Sapphire cards.....

and beings I have used a tape measure for over 30 years I think I know how to use one...the cards I have in my possession are those measurements and thats the Full length of the cards....not hooked on the bracket to the edge but Full length...thanks

there are other shorter cards out there....but the ones I have arent...

is your HD 4870 X2 non-reference ?

because reference HD4870 X2 is 10.5 inches.

this is the 4870X2 I measured.....11.5 inches
