So if this is a firmware problem, it can be fixed, yes? Did they fix the firmware in the 3G?

I'm planning on getting two 3GS's next month, so this has my undies in a bunch a little bit.

Kind of related - 3.0 killed my 3G's gps as it did to many other people

I'm going to try to get a replacement from apple like some people have managed to do
