It is impressive but price will be the determining factor.

My D0 I920 does 4ghz on a 24/7 basis at 1.18 vcore prime stable.

From what I have seen, many of the D0's (especially the B batches) seem to be in this performance range.

My chip also only cost just north of $300 CAD.

Admittedly, my motherboard was expensive ($320) so that may be where the i5 will shine.

I would totally buy your chip in a hearbeat!

However, I think it would also be fun to go to Micro Center this Sat. and make one of the store employees rummage through their stock for a good D0...:P

No, but that is the biggest difference, by far.

Same with i7 vs. 775.

Or Athlon 64 vs. Athlon XP.

An IMC is an enormous advantage.
