Yup. 0.944v on stock here.

Looks pretty good with the i5, btw. Price-performance should be closer to Phenom II x4s now.

I'm waiting for 6/8-core processors (native) before upgrading again.

I'm talking out of my ass now, but... shouldnt i7 triple channel be way better than outdated dual channel?

Theoretically, yes. But it's no where near that in real-world performance.

How is dual-channel outdated?

Put a single stick (meaning single channel) of DDR3 in an i7 or i5 and it will still beat the memory performance of two of the same sticks of DDR3 in an LGA775 setup.

Also, even on highly OCed i7s, memory scaling from dual to tri-channel is pretty poor.

Going from singel to dual on an i7 is an easy 80-90% boost in bandwidth (out of 100% theoretical). Going from dual to tri-channel on an i7 is around a 10-20% boost in bandwidth (out of 50% theoretical).

LGA-1156 won't be memory bandwidth limited, not by a long shot.

Tri-channel is almost a complete waste with only 4 cores/8 threads, unless you need more than 8GiB of memory.

i think most of E8xxx are still able to stay on par with the i5
i5 is def only for those people who haven't upgrade their system for a while

The benchmarks I have seen show i5 being almost the same as i7, only falling behind in applications where hyper threading really makes a different. From what I have seen they will be considerably faster then core2 quads clock for clock.

From what I have seen, many of the D0's (especially the B batches) seem to be in this performance range.

My chip also only cost just north of $300 CAD.

Admittedly, my motherboard was expensive ($320) so that may be where the i5 will shine.
Yeah, my chip does 4ghz @ 1.136v!
Its worth to spend a little extra on a good motherboard anyways, at least if you are a overclocker!

But im eager to see what the P55 motherboards can do overclocking wise.

I don't know much about intel's stuff.
i5 > i7 in games?
Someone told me something about PCI-e lane improvements, blah blah, etc...
