This is just wrong Dell screws up their prices all the time. And every time thousands are ordered. It sounds fishy to me, this happens way to often to be random chance. Shouldn't someone have been fired by now? Why haven't we heard what happens to the people in charge? I think Dell is doing this for publicity, plain and simple. It's wrong. Hopefully this will teach them a lesson.

Dell should fire the guy who's in charge of pricing. This is not the first time Dell made pricing errors.

If we continue to allow this type of pricing "error" to occur what's stopping every other retailer/e-tailer from doing the same thing? Price a product at riduculously low prices to attract customers then later tell them it's a pricing error.

Shady ass way to business.
I said this before, but all my posts were deleted. This was no "mistake", it's intelligent advertising because as you can see from the posts here, people fall for it left, right, and centre.

Not as far as I'm aware. It might be in Ireland, but some major chains here in Denmark writes this in their advertisers and still gets away with it.

im surprised nobody has pointed this out yet (unless i missed it)

there were 26,000 orders placed for a $15 monitor.
then after Dell refuses to sell there are only 471 complaints.

this clearly states that the 25,529 people that didnt complain actually realize that this was a mistake and they should not expect a nearly free monitor.

...the 471 that did complain are just pricks.

FALSE is, yes. It's intentionally Mis-marking something but CHARGING something higher or similar ideas. it is NOT mistakes. Dell has a bad rap, and some of it is deserved, but this was a typo, someone probably left off a 0 and when he re-checked it, didn't notice it. The Taiwanese shouldn't be able to dock Dell that much money because some little bastards wanted to rip Dell off and re-sell the monitors.

its dells fault for screwing up the price on their own web page.
they should suck it up and learn to not make major screwups the next time.
