neat, always wanted faster external drives. this will probably kill off the external sata standard tho.

Just looked it up, its 133MB/s
__________________The maximum speed of USB 3.0 is 4.8Gbps. : /. Makes my idea of switching to an AMD rig with more PCIe slots all the more tempting.

But that's PCI. PCI-e 1.x is 125MB/s up/down. PCI-e 2.0 is 250MB/s up and down (at the same time) for a 1x slot.
