What I find funny is all this bashing based on 1 review site and not a single one of you owns this cooler.

What has Zalman done with their coolers to make us believe that this one will be any different? Remember the 9900? That thing is terrible.

I'm sorry, $80 for an air cooler is ridiculous no matter how good it is. I mean, you can put together a respectable watercooling setup with a 220 rad for $120 if you bargain shop.

The only saving grace for this cooler is the nifty built in fan controller, but even that is somewhat gimmicky IMO when any decent mobo has built in fan control, oftentimes with adjustable profiles.

I don't know why you people think push/pull is a con when in fact it does virtually nothing to aid cooling.

They finally dropped the integrated fan and flower design and gave users the choice to replace a fan of their choosing. I say it's a step in the right direction albeit a late one.

That's like saying SSDs are expensive when they first launched.

This is a new cooler, it takes time for the price to settle. I wish they came out with a model without a fan to save a few bucks.

Push/Pull lowered my load by 5C, pretty respectable.

Looks are subjective, I think my TRUE looks better since it doesn't have a tonne of plastic on the fan.

Actually, the Zalman F3 fans were quite good iirc.

I have no mods on my TRUE apart from the shroud (Which I had one laying around, so why not?) and it keeps my Phenom II x3 720 with this overclock under 30c, I'd like to see the Noctua do that.

The Xigmatek can't, I tried it.

When prices settle, they settle like $5. Not $50 which this thing needs to "settle" on.
I owned a Zalman 9500, excellent cooler for it's time. This one isn't.

How are "Crappy" and "Cools poorly" any different?

Btw, this cooler isn't bad, just horrid for the price (like most other zalman coolers)
