The question is not whether or not it's more powerful than a P4. Because yes, in most applications it
is more powerful than all but the faster P4s (something like 2.5GHz Northwoods/Prescotts and up are still much faster - my 3GHz Northwood laptop runs Vista as smooth as butter, which the Atom can't do).
What the question
is is that if the average consumer who can't afford (or won't buy) anything more than a $300 PC is better off getting a Celeron or an Atom.
