Nope, it's got the same model ADDA fan as the 750W Silencer.

If you manage to actually load this up to 1/2-2/3 of it's capacity in a fairly warm environment you will definitely notice the fan. I don't know if it is worth four points off in the functionality department, but overall it isn't weighted very much. And I haven't heard it in person so I can't really comment.

In retrospect, it probably is just a bit quieter than the one in that Glacialtech. That's not saying a whole lot though - anytime something's loud enough to give me a headache, I get mean with the points.

I'm seriously having trouble believing a Turbocool could be much louder than this thing, but then I haven't tested a Turbocool yet.

IIRC the Turbocools use a three blade Delta fan rated at 50CFM and 42.5dB. The ADDA fan in the Silencers are 50CFM at 41dB. If the manufacturers specs are true then they should be pretty close.

I rarely notice the fan on my 750W silencer, although, the only time it is at load is when my GPUs are at full load, which means I'll be hearing the fans on my card over the PSU anyway.

I can't really complain about the Silencer, but I don't see the point in sticking with an 80mm fan. 120mm is going to run pretty similar in price, and push quite a bit more air at a lower speed and noise level.

I've owned "silencer" PSU's twice, both were the loudest PSU's I've ever owned. What a JOKE. They market these things as quiet, and I fell for it and wasted my money on one (the second came into my hands from a trade). Never again, I don't care how well they do on the test bench.

Jeez right after I bought an 850W Antec Quattro(Quattro's have 80mm fans)?
lol Oh well My radiator fans would be producing more noise than that I'm sure. Can't see much of OCN's watercooling boys having a problem with these though.

Eh? My bad.
Well I guess people won't put as a high of a load on the 750's, so maybe the fans don't run full tilt like on the 910's

Considering the price to performance ratio, it's my next PSU.
