I thought they were adding copper capacitors, not copper PCB. Can motherboards be made with a layer of copper PCB? Have they already?

ZOMG Native Linux Client!

Yeah they have always had copper in them, just not as much. A PCB is separated by layers, some of them are copper.

I didn't know that actually. New they were layers of course... would have though conductivity might have been a problem. I am learning a lot of new stuff today, lol.

Intel Overclocker
![]() |
I've always used either AsusTek or Gigabyte boards. I've had 2 Asrocks (hated them, never ever again). One was a gift and one was the only one I could afford at the time. They both had s939 processors in them. They were ok overclockers, but they were super unstable. I've had 5 Asus boards, (1x 754, 3x 939, 1x 775) and never had as much as an issue with them. I currently have a Gigabyte board and I absolutely love it. It runs cool, and it overclocks like a beast. Unfortunately, I still have not purchased a 1366 Bracket for my TRUE, then I could really see what this board will do.

Never had a problem with an Asus mobo or gpu (i had only 2 gpu's and 3 mobo's from them)... always Good On Arrival. But... I just built a i7 rig for my friend and his mobo ended up being DOA from Asus. Gigabyte is a fine company though, they make some nice cases too. I've never used a mobo or gpu from them though yet. This Hypocrisy doesn't really bug me... it is not as bad as Nvidia now trying to use dx10.1 after destroying dx10. I don't know about the rest of you but I wouldn't stop buying Asus products because of this. But that side company Assrock or whatever ..

Trust me not. "EVERY" board has a layer. Cheaper board I highly doubt have copper layers.
