The proof is that I know endless amounts of people who have an iPod with 128Kbps MP3's that they downloaded off limewire with a pair of either the stock earbuds or some £5 rubbish.

It doesnt belong on an Ipod maybe an iphone but id much rather have more storage in place of a cheap camera. I mean cell phones already have cameras.

Ok - maybe it's because 320 kbps sounds just as bad as 128 via iPods stock amp? :[ oh, i'd kill for ALAC/FLAC without a LOD.

you can play alac via the headphone jack you know (but it sounds like crap). i think people should just move on from the ipod. a cowon touch (can't remember the model), has 6x more features since it is running windows ce, can play any format, looks beter (movies), and sounds better.
