I have to agree with your point of view. But the new economy is a killer for anyone and upward trends anywhere is a good thing.

955 outperforms the 920 in more things than the 920 outperformed on the 955. Only real thing the 920 beats the 955 in is Multithreaded applications. Intels LGA 775 processors even there Pentiums sell for only $10 less than the Phenom II X2 550 which outperforms them all and a lot of C2D's Not to mention there Triple-Cores are faster than C2D's have and extra core and ALL sell for less than all but 1 C2D. AMD wouldn't exist if Intel's founders didn't steal the idea of the Microprocessor from there boss Hyatt.

Sure i7's are the fastest out there at the moment but who spends $570+ on a processor..only way you need one of those is if you own a big business and really need that speed to save you money. People buy Intel because they see it more often and there more widespread, not because there so amazing and better at everything.

The 790FX-gd70 has everything but OC genie, hopefully MSI keeps releasing boards with these features, lub em

I guess that will be attractive to first time builders but I believe most experienced people can fine tune boards just fine. I hope the price isn't too high.

Looks amazing, but 3 PCI-E 16x slots are wasted with Lynnfield chips, which have a total of 16 PCI-E lanes available, so they'd be running at something like 8/4/4.

Why is intel traveling back in time and using old technology..No triple channel? x4/x4 Xfire, nu uh girl. Is it meant to be Intels budget processors?
