Most likely a glitch. It makes no sense to recommend it only most of the time.

There's most likely some basic option that makes it go straight to the 4890.

Am I the only who HASN'T been told I need a 4890?

I'm guessing that your input for "DX10 gaming" makes it think you're going to be playing the latest games (obviously) and gives you a high end card.

This seems to work perfectly to me.
