I hope that's not true on the voltage, but it's a nice overclock anyhow.

My 940 easily reached 3.4GHz on stock volts...and I have a SB700. It's a nice chip, but I don't see a reason to buy it if it's more than $50 than the 940 BE.

I'm curious as to weather the athlon 2 x4 can reach 4.ghz that'll sell me to the idea at the moment I don't want to move from my 6000+ @ 3.4 but I did have it tuned a 3.6 @ 1.35 (stock). I'm still watching to see if more games are going to multi threading sooner rather than later

Searched around a bit and found out that the 965 OC's to 4.4GHz on air!

Source : http://xtreview.com/addcomment-id-94...k-edition.html

Hopefully will be 4GHz stable then i'll save up for it.

I've mentioned this in the past, and it seems to be done on purpose.

Because there exists Phenom II 920 / Core i7 920, Phenom II 940, Core i7 940.

I don't think this is a coincidence.

But if this Phenom II 965 is hitting 4+GHz on air it is going to destroy the i7s!!

4ghz isn't a magical number that suddenly increases a processor's performance exponentially lol

Current Phenom II's can reach 3.8ghz-3.9ghz thereabouts on air

I doubt a 200mhz clock boost will make the performance much different
